Hyderabad, August 10: An online process to carry out corrections/changes in ration cards was launched by minister for civil supplies J Krishna Rao here today.
For any changes in ration cards, like name and address, or getting duplicate cards, consumers can now apply at any APOnline or eSeva centres.
The applications will be forwared to the commissioner, civil supplies department. The joint collectors will view online the requests and the verification reports of the field officers and issue approvals. The applicants will then receive electronically-generated cards with JC/CRO’S digital signature.
The approved requests can be viewed online at APOnline and eSeva centres. A laminated printout of the new ration card can be collected from the centre in exchange of the old card.
“The services currently available in the twin cities will be later extended to other districts,” said Sanjay Jaju, commissioner of civil supplies.
