Online campaign for release of ex-constable Abdul Qadeer

Starting an online campaign for release of ex-constable Mohammed Abdul Qadeer, Justice Markandey Katju has sent a letter to Chief Minister of Telangana Mr. K Chandrasekhar. Positive response is received by the online campaign began at social networking websites and other online portals and people irrespective of religion are demanding release of Abdul Qadeer on humanitarian basis. Abdul Qadeer belonging to Hyderabad is languishing in jail for the past 25 years. He was pronounced life sentence in a murder case.

In the letter Justice Markandey Katju observed that Abdul Qadeer is suffering from diabetes and one of his legs has been amputated. In such situation there should be no obstruction in releasing him, he said.

Justice Katju has started a campaign on social networking websites facebook, twitter and also on website www.change.org which received an overwhelming response.
