Hyderabad, June 08: The people whom Allah, the Almighty selects as his companions are called “Aulia” (saints) who are firm in their faith, pious and place the love of Allah over and above everything in the world.
They worship Allah and refrain from committing any sins. Such people are the friends and companions of Allah. One who is close to Allah, contains the attributes of Allah and keeps himself away from lust and sins. Wali is content with the commands of Allah. One such saint was Hazrath Khwaja Moinuddin Chishthi of Ajmer when he arrived in India, it was full of idolatry. Khaja Gharib Nawaz, with his saintly looks and behavior, brought more than 90 lakh people into the fold of Islam. These thoughts were expressed by Maulana Iqbal Ahmed Rizvi at a meeting organized by Rahmath-e-Alam committee at Jamia Masjid Subhain at Maqta Madar Begumpet.
In his address Maulana Rizvi told that when a person performs his duties to Allah (faraiz) and turns to perform ‘nawafil’ Allah gets closer to him. He becomes his eyes, legs and hands. Wali/Companion of Allah performs ‘salaat’ and follows religious doctrines scrupulously. When you visit the shrines of any companion (saint) of Allah, you will find a mosque nearby which testifies to the fact they were regular in their prayers.
Today, when we recite Surah ‘Fatiha” standing beside the graves of such saints there comes a voice from their shrines that oh! believer! We had spent our lives in worships and in obedience of Allah. Now that we are no more in this world, our graves are lit with light.
Maulana Ashfaqullah Khan was also present on this occasion.
