Tension prevailed in the Telangana Secretariat when employees beat up Social Welfare Department secretary Mahesh Datt’s personal secretary Srinivasarao for misbehaving with women employees.
According to reports, the employees pulled Srinivasarao from his seat and staged dharna outside the chamber. The employees alleged that Srinivasarao was harassing the employees from attendar to higher officials besides indulging in corrupt practices. The employees also alleged that Srinivasarao was harassing the employees regarding service and leaves. The employees made it clear that they thrashed Srinivasarao as he failed to men his attitude though several employees warned him.
On the other hand, the Secretariat sources said the division of employees issue was the reason behind the friction. It is learnt that Srinivasarao belongs to Andhra Pradesh. (NSS)
