Ghaziabad, Jun 11: One person was shot dead and two others received bullet injuries in a clash between two brothers over land dispute in Hapur area in the district.
The incident took place last evening in Sultanpur village, about 45 km from here.
The deceased, Imran, who succumbed to his injuries on way to hospital, was mediating in dispute between real brothers Tauhid and Tausif, police said today, adding the duo were fighting over division of a land.
According to police, Tauhid sold some of the land before the death of his father Muzaffar Ali, who made a will for both the brothers, but it could not be executed.
In the clash yesterday, Taushif’s sons allegedly opened fire and shot three persons, including Imran.
The two critically injured, Zakir and Jamil, were rushed to hospital in neighbouring Meerut, they said.
