(Siasat News) Communal elements have become active once again before Ganesh festival. They have started setting ablaze the motor cycles of Muslim youths.
In Rain Bazaar area a motorcycle bearing registration number AP 11 AG 3661 belonging to Mohammed Imran was set ablaze by unknown miscreants in the early hours of morning yesterday. He had parked his motorbike outside his house.
A series of setting ablaze motor bikes was started in February this year. More than 12 motor cycles were set ablaze. Police failed to arrest the miscreants so far, although it has registered cases under section 435 (setting fire deliberately) of Indian Penal Court but there was no progress in investigations. Due to the carelessness of the police, communal violence had erupted in April this year in Madannapet and Sayeedabad areas. Police had clamped curfew in these areas continuously for a week.
Later, legs of a big animal were thrown in a temple in Kurmaguda and Madannapet areas. Police had arrested a few R.S.S. workers who confessed that the miscreants had played this mischief because Miladun Nabi festival passed away peacefully and they wanted to disrupt the peace of the city by spreading communal hatred. Now that Ganesh festival is starting on 19th September in the city, miscreants have become active once again. It is worrying the peace loving citizens of the city. Police is claiming to have made elaborate security arrangements in the city but it is a matter of great concern. If police is lethargic and negligent and if does not take timely action, the peace of the city may get disturbed once again.
