Cuttack, May 31: Another policeman of the Cuttack- Bhubaneswar Commissionerate has been arrested on charges of robbing gold ornaments from two Gujarat traders, police said today.
Earlier, Mangalabag police had arrested two constables and a city-based jeweller in connection with the case.
Police said though constable Sangram Naik’s alleged involvement was known in the incident, his arrest was delayed as he was in Jammu and Kashmir as a member of a special police squad to probe into a kidnap case.
Sangram was yesterday arrested at the railway station here by policemen in plain clothes as soon as he deboarded a train coming from New Delhi, Mangalabag police inspector P K Rath said.
He was placed under suspension immediately after his arrest, he added
