Ghaziabad: One youth was killed and two other were critically injured in a road accident near KIET college village Duhai at Delhi-Meerut road under jurisdiction of Murad Nagar Police station, police said.
The deceased has been identified Aayush (24), police said.
He and his two friends Sonu (23) and Pawan (24), all residents of Ganga Vihar colony of Muradnagar Town, were on their way to home when the incident happened, police said.
When they reached in front of KIET College, an speeding Fortuner SUV car rammed their bike from the back and as a result the three skidded and fell down on the road, they added.
They were immediately rushed to Yashoda Hospital where Aayush succumbed to his injuries, police said.
Sonu is still under treatment in a critical condition and Pawan has been referred to GTB hospital North east Delhi.
Body of Aayush has been handed over to his parents after postmortem.
The SUV driver fled the spot and the car has been seized, police said.
The case will be lodged after receiving complaint from the Aayush’s parents, said officer.
