One killed in Jaipur, smoke suspected to be the cause

Jaipur, November 02: A resident of Vatika town nearly seven kms from the IOC fuel depot today died in SMS hospital here after he allegedly complained of suffocation.

Family members of the deceased Yashoda Nandan (around 38 years) claimed that he developed respiratory disorders due to smoke, which had spread over a number of villages near Sitapura area after the devastating fire on Thursday last, and died in the hospital.

However, the hospital administration has so far not confirmed whether suffocation was the exact cause.

“He had no history of such kind of disorders, but today complained of respiratory problem. We rushed him to SMS hospital where he died,” Hemwati Nandan, brother of the victim told reporters.

Superintendent of SMS hospital Dr Narpat Singh, when contacted said that anything in this regard could be said after the postmortem report, which is awaited.
