Tirupati, January 26:One passenger was killed and eight others injured, one them seriously, when an Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) bus was hit by a speeding lorry at Guttivaripalle village of Renigunta mandal, 15 km from here last evening.
According to the Renigunta police, the bus, on way to Srikalahasti from Tirupati, was hit by an egg-laden lorry, which was proceeding to Tirupati from Nellore, when the mishap occurred The deceased was identified as Vinay (30).
Ten people who were injured in the accident were admitted to Government Ruia hospital in Tirupati, police added.
