Miscreants opened fire on a motorcyclist injuring him critically near Bibi Ka Chashma locality of the old city area in Hyderabad on Thursday afternoon. The injured man, identified as Sameer, is being treated at Osmania Hospital for gunshot wound, police said.
The assailants came in an autorickshaw and opened fire on Sameer who was driving a motorcycle. The assailants fled in the commotion that followed the firing incident.
Police suspect property disputes or old rivalry could be the motive behind the attack, that shook the communally sensitive old city.
