Hyderabad: A victim approached “SHE Teams” with a complaint that she was being frequently disturbed and harassed by her neighbour. He was regularly following her and had misused her name on social media thereby tarnishing her image.
The complainant was working for a reputed Software company. The accused was even following her to her office. Further, when she was on an official tour with her colleagues at a private resort at Shankarpally, the accused followed her there also, misbehaved and created a nuisance by taking pictures and videos.
Finally, when in the first week of April, the accused followed her and misbehaved with her by holding her hand in public, the complainant informed her family. Vexed over the harassment, the victim approached Hyderabad She Teams for help. The Team apprehended the respondent and caused discreet enquiry. The respondent Gundaram Ramesh S/o.G. Krishna, 28 yrs, Pvt. employee of Khairtabad, admitted his guilt.
A case was registered and he was arrested and produced in the court. He was sentenced to three days’ jail and fined. Police said the victims need not suffer in silence.
