New Delhi, January 21:A 19-year-old youth has been arrested for alluring a 13-year-old minor to his room and then raping her, police said Thursday.
The accused has been identified as Pappu Kumar, a resident of Govindpuri in South Delhi.
“The accused allured the girl, who lives in the lane number 14 in Govindpuri, to come to his room in the lane number 7 on some pretext Jan 17 afternoon and raped her,” said a police officer.
When the minor reached home, her parents found her bleeding. On questioning, she recounted the whole incident to them.
Her mother took her the police station and registered a case. “The minor was rushed to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences for a medical examination,” said the officer.
Acting on the statement of the victim and her parents, Pappu was apprehended Tuesday. The medical reports, which the police got Thursday, confirms rape.
