West Zone Team apprehended one accused person Gubbala Srikanth (24) S/o Late Apparao, a Junior Assistant in Niloufer Hospital, R/o Paparayudu Nagar of Kukatpally, Hyderabad, who was in Police uniform and solved his friend’s problems by introducing himself as Police near Gokul Theatre, SR Nagar, Hyderabad.
During interrogation it is learnt that the accused said that, he is having passion about police department from his school days, he is appeared two times S.I examination but he failed to get the job. Because his passion about department he stitches a police uniform and said to all his friends as he selected as Sub-Inspector of Police. On March 12 he received a phone call from his friend that she has a problem with neighbor on that he wears the police uniform and going to his friend’s house to solve the problem.
He is not authorized to hold the police officer uniform knowing that he does not hold such department, and he attempts to do act under colour of police is an offence.
The accused person along with seized property handed over to S.H.O., SR Nagar P.S., Hyderabad, for taking further action.
The arrest was made under the supervision of.K.Ramchandran, Addl. Dy. Commissioner of Police, Commissioner’s Task Force, Y.Prakash Reddy, Inspector of Police with the assistance of SIs D.Jalandhar Reddy, M.Venkateshwar Goud, K.Srinivas and the Staff of West Zone Team, Commissioner’s Task Force, Hyderabad.
