One held in fraud case by Cyber Crime Police

Cyber Crime Police, Cyberabad arrested Avinash Keeli, of Malakpet, for fraudulently receiving data of clients of M/s Von Expy Softech Pvt. Ltd., through emails. Zareen Mohammed @ Zareena Begum Mohammed of Warasiguda, former Business Development Executive of the same firm, emailed the stolen data to Avinash, who also worked there previously, as Manager.

Hari Krishna, Network Administrator, M/s VonExpy Softech Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad; lodged a complaint with Cyber Crime PS, that during routine monitoring activities, he noticed that Zareen, violating the Non-disclosure and confidentiality agreements, is involved in passing the data of company’s potential clients, through emails, to another business organization, owned by Avinash Keeli. This caused huge business loss to the company. He requested necessary legal action.

Basing on his complaint, a case was registered under section 66, 72(A) of Information Technology Act and investigation revealed that Avinash Keeli, who earlier worked as Business Development Manager with the complainant’s company, left his job to start an online portal www.gnosyslabs.com, providing IT and IT-enabled services. He promised Zareen Mohammed, with a share from the profits obtained from business made through the clients of VonExpy and she fraudulently sent stolen details of potential clients, through emails to him.

The case was investigated by S. Rajasekhar Reddy, Inspector Cyber Crime PS along with Sub-Inspector K. Srinivas under guidance of D. Pratap Reddy, ACP, Cyber Crime PS, Cyberabad and supervision of G. Janaki Sharmila, Additional DCP (Crimes), Cyberabad. (INN)
