Hyderabad: The Special Operations Team (SOT) of Cyberabad police on Wednesday arrested a trader for illegally transporting banned gutkha from other states.
Shahed Mohammed, a resident of Nampally was apprehended by the SOT near Khajaguda of Raidurgam while he was transporting Gutkha from Bidar. The police seized 40 bags of gutkha and other material, all together worth Rs 2.5 lakh from him.
The arrested trader along with the seized material, was handed over to the Narsingi police station.
