One held for creating fake Facebook profile of girl

One Sakkari Rajesh, 23, of Attapur in Rajendranagar mandal was apprehended by Cyber Crime Police on Tuesday for creating fake profile in Facebook on the name of the complainant and posted her new cell phone number to call her.
According to Janaki Sharmila, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crimes), Cyberabad, they received a complaint on August 22, at 1320 hours stating that a fake face book account was created by some unknown persons on the name of the complainant and posted her residential cell phone number for calling her. Consequently, several persons called her on residential phone. The complainant sought immediate action against those who created fake face book account on her name and caused mental agony.
The DCP stated that police plunged into action and apprehended Sakkari Rajesh, who had moved with the complainant for some time. When she evaded him after some time, the accused bore grudge and threatened her of revenge and created a fake face book profile from IP address of his house owner and uploaded her cell number to call her. Several persons called the complainant and her family members during day and night causing annoyance. Police seized Iphone 4S make from the possession of the accused.
The case was investigated by S. Jayaram, Asst Commissioner of Police, Cyber Crime P.S. assisted by Inspectors K Srinivas and M Mahipal Reddy under the supervision of Addl. Dy. Commissioner of Police, (Crimes). C.V. Anand, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad appreciated the work of the officers in detecting the case. (NSS)
