Jammu, March 19: One person has been arrested and eight kilograms of poppy straw recovered from his possession here, police said today.
On specific information, police intercepted Mukhtiyar Ahmed Malik at the General Bus Stand in the city and during his search eight kilograms of poppy straw was recovered from him last evening, they said.
Malik, a resident of Manigam in Srinagar, was arrested and case under NDPS Act was registered against him, the police said.
