Jodhpur, February 15: About 7.5 Kg of opium, worth over Rs 5 lakh in the international market, was seized today and one person arrested in this connection, police said here.
Acting on a tip off, Mohanlal, 45, a resident of Mandsaur in Madhya Pradesh, was arrested from Rai Ka Bagh bus stand this afternoon, they said.
During search, 7.5 Kg opium was allegedly recovered from Mohanlal, who was hiding the contraband in six bags, police said.
Mohanlal, who according to police was waiting at the bus stand to deliver the consignment to someone, was arrested and a case under NDPS Act has been registered against him.
