One Express train rams into another near Tundla, 10 hurt

Agra, January 16: Amid thick fog, the Kalindi Express train rammed into Kanpur-bound Shram Shakti Express near Tundla junction in Uttar Pradesh this morning, injuring about 10 people.

The Bhiwani-Kanpur Central Kalindi Express hit the stationary train from rear near Tundla in Firozabad district, about 24 kms from here, at around 8.15 am, officials said.

The last two coaches of the Shram Shakti Express, which was travelling from Delhi to Kanpur, were damaged in the accident. According to preliminary reports, about 10 people sustained injuries, they said.

Railway officials in New Delhi said the primary reason for the mishap is believed to be dense fog, but details are yet to come.
