One dies of swine flu in Maha, nationwide toll is 444

New Delhi, October 25: One person succumbed to swine flu today even as 49 fresh cases of the disease were reported from across the country, official sources said today.

The death was reported from Maharashtra. With this, the total number of deaths nationwide have risen to 444.

Karnataka recorded the highest number of cases today with 15 followed by Delhi (13), Maharashtra (10) and Kerala (5).

All the 49 cases reported during the day are indigenous cases.

The total number of those afflicted with the disease has reached 13,370, the sources said.

Till date, samples from 70,650 people have been tested for swine flu and 18.9 per cent of them have been found to be positive.
