Madhya Pradesh, August 07: One person died and two others collapsed on Saturday due to suffocation in a dry well behind Radha-Krishna temple in Hoshangabad district of Madhya Pradesh.
After Tikaram Yadav’s mobile phone fell into the 50-feet deep dry well, his father Sitaram entered into it to search for it at Adamgarh area, police said adding as Sitaram did not come out for quite some time, Tikarman too went into the well.
When both did not come out, their neighbour Avdesh Tiwari got down into the well, they said adding Tiwari tied Tikaram with the help of rope and people pulled him out.
Tiwari had collapsed in the well, they said.
Police rushed to the spot and oxygen was pumped into the well but Sitaram could not be saved. He died of suffocation, police said.
Tikaram and Tiwari have been hospitalized.
