Golaghat, February 16:One person was killed and at least 35 others were injured when the bus in which they were travelling collided with an oil tanker in upper Assam’s Golaghat district today.
Police said a passenger identified as Dilowara Begum travelling in the bus from Dimapur in Nagaland to here died after it collided with the oil tanker near the Nambor reserve forest on national highway 39.
The injured have been admitted to the Golaghat civil hospital for treatment.
The drivers of both the vehicles are absconding.
