The State Government will launch another prestigious program for poor and provide goggle sets to one crore people followed by eye check-ups in the State, according to Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao.
The minister participated in some developmental programs, including reservoir under Mission Bhagiratha scheme in Bollaram under Jinnaram mandal and other places in Sanga Reddy district. Speaking on the occasion, Harish Rao announced that eye check up programs will be conducted in July for the benefit of the poor. For the past 60 years, the people were subjected to untold misery and hardship for drinking water and now the State government will offer them drinking water at each household in rural pockets under Mission Bhagiratha. He also announced irrigation waters from Kaleshwaram project to Jinnaram farmers and drinking waters by Dasara festival.
Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is for providing complete healthcare for the poor. Eye check up camps will be conducted followed by operations and give goggles and medicines thereafter for the patients, Harish Rao said. The minister said that the government will supply Manjira water for drinking by next Dasara Festival. The government has started Mission Bhagiratha program to supply purified and safe drinking water to all rural people.
He explained that pipelines were being laid for drinking water scheme for coming 50 years. Harish said that Rs 18 crore sanctioned for drinking water to Bollaram and will set up high risk center in 10 days, Rs 1 cr sanctioned for Kalyana Mandapam to come up in one acre. The Congress gave three days of power holidays for the industries and now the TRS regime was offering 24-hour power to farm sector and others. In addition to Asara pensions to the poor, the government offered Rs 4,000 per acre cheques and pass books under Rythu Bandhu scheme and will give Rs 5 lakh insurance to the farmers.
