One arrested by Cyber cell for cheating jobless youth

Hyderabad: One Raghavendra Das Pilta, 36, of Kalvagadda in Aliabad was arrested by Rachakonda Cyber Cell for cheating one Narender Reddy on the pretext of providing job at Messrs Ecopound systems, Hyderabad and making him to transfer money to his bank account.

Based on the complaint given by Betha Narender Reddy, a student, of Saraswathi Nagar, LB Nagar Check Post, the police registered a case under Sections 419, 420 IPC & Sec 66(D) of IT Act started investigation.

Complainant Narender Reddy, who completed B.Tech, gave his resume to Sravani Kotipally, Managing Director of Radha Consltancy, Chintal, Hyderabad. After he received a phone call from 7893354783 during which the accused introduced himself as recruiting agent for Eco Pound Systems, Kukatpally, and conducted telephonic interview. On October 30, 2017 the victim received a mail with an offer letter from email ID: hr@ecopoundsystems.com to his mail stating that he was selected for the post of Trainee Software Engineer in Eco Pound Systems, 4th Floor, KPHB Main Road, Kukatpally.

Later, Sravani Kotipally asked him to pay Rs 1,10,000 towards backdoor processing charges for the job and received the amount through different bank accounts which were provided by the accused. Based on the technical evidence and bank statements, the Cyber Cell team arrested the accused at Kalvagadda, Aliabad. The accused admitted his guilt. (NSS)
