Lucknow: A truck driver carrying 366 kg ganja worth Rs 25 lakh was arrested by the Special Task Force (STF) of Uttar Pradesh Police in Sarnath area, officials said.
Acting on a tip-off, the Special Task Force yesterday stopped a truck at St John’s trisection and seized the ganja, an STF release here said.
Sanjay Yadav, had been involved in smuggling since the past two years, it said, adding he used to bring the contraband from Assam and West Bengal.
A case has been registered and further investigations are underway, it said.
