Omar participates in party meeting in PDP bastion

Srinagar, May 18: Participating in a party meeting in Opposition PDP’s bastion of Anantnag today, NC leader and Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today asked workers to work wholeheartedly to strengthen the party.

“The party is supreme and our survival is dependent on the strength of the party,” he told workers.

Abdullah participated in the extra-ordinary meeting of the working committee of the Anantnag district of the NC. The main issue of discussion during the meeting related to membership, a party spokesman told PTI.

National Conference had drawn a blank in Anantnag district in the 2008 assembly elections. Out of the six assembly seats, Peoples’ Democratic Party won four while two went to the Congress.
