Srinagar, September 08: Criticising the Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister, a Shopian-based organisation termed his visit to village to reassure them that he will not rest until the culprits behind the rape and murder of two young girls of the village are booked as a mere ‘propaganda’.
“Omar Abdullah did not visited Shopian. It is mere propaganda that he visited the village rocked by the rape and murder of two young girls three months back,” Mohammad Shafi Khan, spokesman of Shopian-based Majlis-e-mushawarat, a non-political organisation formed by people of Shopian soon after the rape and murder of two young girls took place on May 29-30, said today.
He alleged that the Chief Minister visited Kareva Zora, a hilly area far away from Shopian to settle an issue relating to land acquisition by the army there.
