Srinagar, August 14: In the wake of fresh clashes in the Kashmir during the holy month of Ramadhan, the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has called a high-level meeting on Saturday to discuss the current situation.
Earlier, four people were killed and 47 others were injured on Friday in the clashes between the protestors and the security forces at different places across the valley.

Abdullah even cancelled the meeting of the unified headquarters, which was scheduled on Friday due to the involvement of senior police and paramilitary officials in the field.

“The meeting of the unified headquarters, chaired by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, was scheduled to be held at 6 p.m. Friday, but was postponed due to the involvement of senior police and paramilitary officials in the field,” the statement said, adding the meeting will be held as scheduled Saturday.
Meanwhile, the Separatist leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Friday declined the prime minister’s so-called offer of autonomy.
He emphasized that the protests would be called off only when the government should withdraw the troops from the valley, revokes “draconian” acts and releases all prisoners unconditionally.
In view of the current situation curfew has been imposed in some parts of Kashmir valley.
