Omar admits there’s problem in Srinagar

Srinagar, June 22: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today admitted there is law and order problem in parts of Srinagar but said the process of restoring peace is moving on.

“We are facing difficulties but the process of restoring peace and tranquility is moving on. The law and order problem in some parts of Srinagar city does not mean that the entire valley is disturbed”, Omar said speaking at a symposium on performance of legislators held here as a part of the 75th All India Presiding Officers Conference.

Welcoming Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar and participating delegates, he said their stay here will help them understand that law and order in the valley is not as bad is projected outside the state and asked them to narrate the real story when they return to their respective states.
