Hyderabad, April 09: The Hyderabad Police today arrested Telugu Desam Party Mangalhat Division corporator Raja Singh who is allegedly involved in the recently occured communal clashes in Old city. Raja singh who has been evading police dragnet since the communal clashes taken place.
However the Monda market police arrested him while he was trying to surrender himself before the commissioner’s Task force. Immediately after his arrest he was handed over to the Special Investigation Team where he is being subjected to interrogation the sources said. Since few days Singh was trying to surrender himself before the senior police officials.
An active member of the Hindu fundamentalist outfit Hindu Vahini, Raja singh is believed to have played an vital role for the communal clashes in which many places of worship belonging to the minority community were attacked.
