Hyderabad: In order to tide over currency crisis, Ola has offered withdrawal facility to its customers up to Rs 2,000 via select Ola cabs. Ola cabs India’s largest ride-hailing service has tied up with State Bank of India (SBI) and Punjab National Bank to ease cash crunch.
Now Ola customers can swipe their debit card and withdraw up to Rs 2,000 via select Ola cabs in Kolkata and Hyderabad. Cash can now be withdrawn by swiping debit cards at select Ola cabs. This move has been taken on a test basis in its cabs in Kolkata and Hyderabad and the service will be expanded to other cities after seeing the response of the customers.
Following the government’s move to scrap old Rs. 500 and Rs. 1,000 notes earlier this month, there have been serpentine queues at banks and ATMs as people lined up to withdraw valid currency.
