Officials told to make all arrangements for T Formation Day on June 2

Hyderabad: Chief Secretary Dr Rajiv Sharma has directed the officials to work in close coordination and make foolproof arrangements to ensure that Telangana State Formation Day celebrations are organized in a befitting manner all over the State.

Speaking at a coordination meeting with senior officials of various departments at the Secretariat on Saturday, the Chief Secretary instructed the officials to ensure that people participate in large numbers at all the State Formation Day celebrations venues to be organized at all government offices in every gram panchayat, municipality, mandal offices, revenue divisions, district offices and the State headquarters. He also asked the officials to organize cultural programs at all the places in the evening. He said the celebrations in the districts should start by 8 am. “All places of public importance should be properly illuminated and special blood donation camps should be organized on the occasion. Sweets and clothes should be provided to all the orphanages and old-age homes in the State. Blind students should be provided equipment”, he added.

            Giving details of the programs lined up on the occasion, the Chief Secretary said Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will pay floral tributes at Telangana Martyrs memorial at Gunpark and lay foundation stone for construction of Martyrs memorial at Tank Bund. He will later unfurl the largest national flag at Sanjeeviah Park. The main function will be held at the Parade grounds where the Chief Minister will unfurl the National flag and address the gathering. He will give away certificates to the awardees.

            The Chief Secretary also asked police officials to make adequate bandobust arrangements and ensure that vehicular traffic is regulated so that people are not put to any inconvenience. He has instructed the R&B officials to make proper barricading, seating arrangements and erection of shamianas. He directed the I&PR Commissioner to install public address system, set up LED TVs, arrange commentators, provide live coverage of the event and also ensure proper publicity. “The GHMC officials should set up hoardings, banners and balloons at important places, ensure adequate sanitation and set up mobile toilets, he said.

The Transco officials have been asked to ensure uninterrupted power supply on that day. Water Board officials were told to ensure adequate drinking water supply. “RTC buses should be arranged for transportation of schoolchildren to witness the program. Ambulances and medical teams  should be kept ready”. He asked the Fire Services officials to arrange stationing of fire fighting equipment with a ladder at the Parade ground during the days of rehearsals and on the final day of Parade.
