Officials asked to achieve targets set under RYK

Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Saturday called upon all officials to work with renewed commitment and achieve the targets set under Rajiv Yuva Kiranalu (RYK).

Reviewing the RYK programme with Ministers and officials at Secretariat, Kiran Kumar Reddy appealed all officials to take up the RYK on top priority and achieve the targets set under the programme.

“I am confident that we have to show employment and direction to the youth. We have to fine tune the programme with the changing time,” he said.

The officials informed the Chief Minister that the target of employment for the youth under RYK programme will be achieved.

Kiran Kumar Reddy said that he would be touring the districts and might stay in each district for 2 to 3 days to review and monitor the different programmes.

Kiran said that he would use this opportunity to interact with the undergoing training people and also with those who are employed under the RYK. He asserted that funds would not be a problem at all as far as training for the youth is concerned. “Our aim is to find employment for 2,000 persons a day. We have to achieve the target of 5 lakh employment and systems must be in place. I will review the programme every month and the Chief Secretary will review the programme every 15 days,” he said.

Chief Minister asked the officials to find the gap between academic courses and employability and fill that gap by proper training and skill development. He said that banks should be directed to loan the self-employment in a big way.

Kiran said each sub-mission should have a dedicated nodal officer who will be responsible for better results and coordination.

Ministers Sunitha Lakshma Reddy, Manikya Vara Prasad, Ponnala Lakshmiah, Mahipal Reddy, D Nagender, Ahmedullah, Chief Secretary Pankaj Dwivedi, Chief Secretary-designate Minnie Mathew, Chairman REEMAP K C Reddy, CEO REEMAP Shanthikumari, Principal Secretary, Rural Development R Subramaniam and other officials participated in the meeting.
