Hyderabad: A 35 member delegation consisting of Mayors, Chairpersons, Corporators from various Municipal Corporations of Odisha State, as a part of the study tour, have visited GHMC especially to study about the Solid Waste Management.
Deputy Mayor Baba Fasiuddin welcomed the delegation and interacted with the delegates on various civic related issues. They also exchanged their views about the overall development of both the Corporations. He said that the GHMC was planning to turn Hyderabad into a world class city as per the vision of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao. He presented saplings / plants to the visiting delegates and requested them to plant them saplings in their areas as a sign of good relations.
Cuttak Municipal Chairman Sridevi, on behalf of the entire delegation, said that the team have visited some of the important projects undertaken by the GHMC and praised the officials of the GHMC with regard to maintenance of parks, sanitation, solid waste management, play grounds etc., The visiting delegates have also called on GHMC Commissioner Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy. (INN)
