Odisha: NPR data to be exercised between April 16 to 31 May

Bhubaneshwar: The National Population Register (NPR) will be exercised in Odisha from 16^th April to 31^st May.

A few new additional features related to parents such as Date, Place of Birth of parents will be added in this new NPR, The Hindu reports.

The previous National Population Register was recorded in 2010 under which the data collectors collected recorded data from 14 fields, the number of fields remains the same this year but additional information regarding your parents are added in this NPR.

In view of apprehensions that NPR could lead to the National Register of Citizens (NRC), earlier on 20^th December 2019, Kerala and the West Bengal Government had put a hold to the NPR process in their respective states.
