Bhubaneshwar: Congress will regain its power in Odisha in the upcoming Assembly Polls in 2019 claims senior leader Jitendra Singh.

He said the party chief is hopeful of his newly selected OPCC chief Niranjan Patnaik who will be leading the party in Odisha state. “While merit will be the sole criterion, priority will be given to youth and women,” said the leader.
Alleging the ruling party’s fake promises, Singh said the BJD government has failed to solve issues of the weaker sections, farmers, women, dalits, tribals.
“The days of the BJD government are numbered as people of Odisha are fed up with its misrule, while falsehood of BJP has been exposed. Therefore, the Congress will form the next government in the state,” Singh told the reporters.
While both of them attended the press conference, the leaders did admit that Congress had gravely suffered due to its past mistakes.\
OPCC Chief Patnaik said the party is all set to fight the upcoming Assembly Polls battle in 2019. “Those who think that Congress is fighting a losing battle are terribly mistaken. It is a fact that we are going to fight a winning battle,” he said.
Also targeting the BJD along with BJP, the OPCC chief said the saffron party has gravely “failed” the promises it made to the state people while the BJD government has clearly “betrayed” the trust of the Odisha state people.
