Satara: In what could snowball into a major controversy, Lok Sabha MP and NCP leader Udayanraje Bhosale said that it’s quite obvious for boys to ‘stare’ at girls and there is nothing unusual in it.
“If boys would not stare at girls than whom they should stare at. It is quite obvious for them to do so,” said Bhosale.
The bizarre reply came in response to a query by a teenage schoolgirl who asked the Parliamentarian a rather naïve question that if someone continuously stares at a girl when she steps out of her house then what she should do.
“If someone continuously stares at you continuously while going somewhere outside than what should be done at that moment?” asked the girl.
The misogynist comment was even cheered by some in the audience.
However, soon realising his faux pas, Bhosale came in a damage control mode and tried to paint his earlier comment by saying that if any boy does such
“That doesn’t mean that he can do anything if some boy does something like this he should be punished,” said Udayanraje Bhosale.
Bhosale was attending a school programme where he also answered the queries from the students.
