Obstructing Rachabanda is not right, says Naidu

Hyderabad, January 29: Leader of the opposition N Chandrababu Naidu has disapproved of obstructing the Rachabanda programme, saying that though people have every right to register their protest over their problems they should not obstruct the programme.

Speaking with reporters here today, Naidu said that the protests during the Rachabanda programme were organised in accordance with the feelings of the local people.

The Telugu Desam president refuted the allegations that his party and the ruling Congress had come to a compromise on some issues. The Congress or YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had no right to criticise the TDP, he said.

Naidu alleged that the administration in the state had collapsed. “Even a state like Bihar is attracting huge investments. But Hyderabad is now witnessing faction killings,” the former chief minister lamented.

On chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy’s recent remark that he had tried to protect Jagan Mohan Reddy, who faced allegations after Paritala Ravi’s murder, on the floor of the Assembly, Naidu said that who protected a criminal would also be treated as a criminal. The criminal had no right to continue as the chief minister, Naidu remarked.
