Obstacles in the formation of Telangana should be removed- Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan

For creating hurdles in the formation of separate Telangana State not only the rulers and the capitalists of Seema Andhra are responsible but the so-called politicians of Telangana are also equally responsible who are playing in the hands of Seema Andhra politicians. Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan, Managing Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily was speaking at a Round Table Conference organized by various organizations supporting the cause of Telangana. The conference was held to consider the issues of cancellation of Palawaram Project, Hyderabad as common capital for 10 years, withdrawal of criminal cases against the students supporting Telangana. Continuing his address Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan demanded the Govt. to withdraw the cases against the students immediately.

Prof. Haragopal, Human Rights Activists, Mr. Devi Prasad, President of Telangana NGO’s Association, Mr. Veda Kumar, Vice President of Telangana Praja Front, Prof. G. Lakshman, Ms. Sandhiya, Mr. Ghowri Shankar, Mr. K. Srinivas, Mr. Satish , Mr. Ch. Prabhakar and others addressed the gathering.

Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan further told that the sacrifices made by the students are unforgettable. He declared that he will extend his cooperation at every front for the cause of Telangana. He told that it is undemocratic to file criminal cases against those who were struggling to get their rights. He told that before the formation of Telangana State, all the criminal cases registered the students should be withdrawn unconditionally.

Prof. Hara Gopal told that the revolutionary movements are started to eradicate atrocities and injustices. Separate Telangana Movement is also one such revolutionary movement. After the success of such revolutionary moments, withdrawal of cases is a routine procedure. He cited the example of the cases withdrawn after successful completion of the freedom movement of India. He termed Polavaram project as the great loss to the tribals of Telangana region.

Mr. Devi Prasad told that keeping Hyderabad as the common capital of both the States would amount to promote anti-Telangana activities. He proposed that Hyderabad should be kept as common capital till the construction of the new capital of Seema Andhra region.

Mr. M. Veda Kumar told that the construction of polavaram project is the starting point for the eradication of tribals from Telangana region. He told that Govt. of A.P. has sanctioned this project under an organized conspiracy. He informed that more than 20, 000 villages would be submerged in Polavaram project which is a great danger to the one thousand year old civilization of Telangana Region.
