As US President Barack Obama to visit Burma very soon, Muslims urged him to intervene to stop the systematic discrimination of Rohingya Muslims.
Obama, who was re-elected to a second term in office last week, is scheduled to visit Burma on November 19.
Few days back, the devastating satellite images exposing destructed and razed houses of Rohingya Muslims by a leading international rights group has created unrest among Muslim community around the world.
Phil Robertson, Deputy Asia Director of Human Rights Watch reportedly said that “they urgently needs security as fears grow for thousands of Rohingya Muslims in Buddhist Burma.”
The images released by Human Rights Watch showed “near total destruction” from Satellite of a once-thriving Rohingya coastal community in Kyaukpyu, scene of ethnic Rakhine Buddhists cruelties.
The latest incidents of anti-Rohingya violence shown in the images, which erupted last month in Minbyar township, about 25 kilometers (15 miles) north of the coastal state capital Sittwe and spread farther north to Mrauk-U township.
Human Rights Watch has accused Burmese security forces of targeting Rohingya Muslims with killing, rape and arrest following the unrest.
