Obama gets 12 stitches after basketball injury

Washington, November 28: President Barack Obama had a tough time during his favorite leisure activity Friday.

The president received 12 stitches after being hit, accidentally by an opposing player’s elbow in the lip while playing basketball in the White House, according to White House press secretary Robert Gibbs.

Obama received the treatment in the doctor’s office, located in the ground floor of the White House.

Obama is a sports fanatic, who loves Chicago sports teams.

Playing basketball is his number one sports passion.
The president had traveled to nearby Fort McNair to play in a five-on-five basketball game with family and friends.

After about 90 minutes of play, Obama left the building wearing a short-sleeve T-Shirt and gym pants. The president was seen dabbing at his mouth with what appeared to be a wad of gauze. A few hours later, the president was spotted in an upstairs window, pressing something white against his mouth.
