Obama calls Cameron to discuss wide range of global issues

Washington, Jun 13: US President Barack Obama spoke to new British Prime Minister David Cameron on a wide range of bilateral and global issues including the World Cup Football tournament.

This was the first substantive talks between the two leaders after Cameron was recently sworn in as the British Premier.

Both the leaders spoke for about 30 minutes over phone during which Obama looked forward to seeing Cameron in Canada later this month and in Washington on July 20.

“The President affirmed his deep commitment to the special and historic relationship between two countries,” the White House said in a statement.
