(Siasat News) In the documents submitted to court, Central Crime Branch of Bangalore police claimed that Obaidur Rahman was continuously in contact with Siddique Bin Yousuf alias Rafique alias Abu Hanila. Police also claimed that Obaid had made an unsuccessful attempt to trarget TDP corporators of Sayeedabad and Mangalhat. It is alleged that Siddique had connections with the Pakistani National Saleem Junaid who was arrested in 1998. The activists of Lakshar-e-Tayyeba have named Osman as Abu Hanzila. Osman is required by state police for the past 12 years. He has allegations that he gave shelter to many youths in Saudi Arabia and also provided financial assistance.
Obaidur Rahman is in police custody upto 15th September. It is said that he would be brought to Hyderabad also. It is also said that on the revelations of Obaidur Rahman, many more arrests are possible. Recently, Bangalore police arrested 15 youths and blamed that they are associated with Harkatul-Jihad Islami and they were planning to kill some M.P’s, journalists and Hindutva activists in Karnataka state.
