NYPD sends two detectives to LA in Weinstein investigation

London: Amid a slew of sexual-assault allegations levied against movie mogul Harvey Weinstein, the New York City Police Department (NYPD) has recently sent its two detectives to Los Angeles for investigation.

Referring to the investigation, NYPD Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce said, “I have two detectives in LA right now. I’ve sent them to Paris. I’ve sent them pretty much around the world,”

Boyce stated that the Manhattan rape case against Harvey Weinstein involving actress Paz de la Huerta “is still going forward right now as we speak,” despite criticism by her lawyers that the Manhattan DA’s Office was dragging its feet, reports Page Six.

The ‘Nurse 3-D’ star claimed that Weinstein raped her twice in 2010 at her Tribeca apartment.

Boyce urged everyone to co-operate in the case and help them.

However, Da la Huerta is just one of dozens of women to accuse Weinstein of sexual assault or sexual harassment. (ANI)
