New York, February 11: Two brothers from New York were arrested for stealing art work, state police said Wednesday.
Roy Q. Ortiz, a resident of Rochester, New York and his brother Michael A. Ortiz of Medina, New York were charged with selling a Civil War item, which had been reported stolen from the Big Springs Museum in Caledonia, New York.
He was charged in the Town of Greece Court and committed to the Monroe County jail on $5000 cash bail.
Michael Ortiz is currently being held in the Erie County Holding Center on $3500 cash bail as he was charged for allegedly being involved in larcenies from museums and historical society locations in western New York.
