In the early hours on Thursday, a staff nurse of Yashoda Hospital, Somajiguda, committed suicide by hanging at her hostel room. Police had a sneaking suspicion that failure in a love affair might be the rea-son behind her suicide.
The victim, M. Jayanthy, 26year-old, a native of Medak district used to stay on the second floor in the Yashoda Hostel. She had an affair with a person named Umakantha.
According to the Panjagutta police, her friend Ashwathi found her dead and alerted the hostel authori-ties. A case of suspicious death has been registered.
