Nurse throws acid on Doctor at Tirupati court

TIRUPATI: A nurse, after shattered in love attacked a doctor here on Thursday and tried to commit suicide.

According to The New Indian Express report, a nurse attacked a doctor in court when he came for his divorce proceedings. When her plans failed, she consumed acid.

Aruna, the nurse, used to work with Dr Adarsh Reddy at Rama Devi hospital and they both have an illicit relationship with each other.

Speaking to the media persons, Aruna said, “My husband was a drunkard. We decided to eliminate him as he became an obstacle to our frequent meetings. The doctor promised to marry me and gave me an injection which I administered to my husband and he died.”

“Adarsh Reddy developed multiple relationships with other women following which his wife filed for divorce,” she added.

She was waiting for an opportunity and when on Thursday, he came for the final proceeding of his divorce she got the chance.

She said, “I wanted to beat him with shoes in front of his wife in the court and then kill myself. So I brought the acid along. But he ran when I tried to slap him.”

The Tirupati West police caught the duo and registered a case under Section 326 B, IPC for the murder of the nurse’s husband.
