Numaish not only provides an opportunity of recreation and shopping to the residents of the city but it also provides part time employment to over 10 thousand people. More than 85 percent of the income produced during 46 day exhibition is spend on educational and industrial growth of girls by the Exhibition Society. Mr. Anil Swaroop Misra told this during special meeting with Siasat. He informed that nearly 2500 stalls will be set up in the 75th All India Industrial Exhibition to begin from January 1, 2015. Nearly 25 lakh visitors are expected to visit Numaish during the platinum jubilee year.
Mr. Misra rebuffed the allegations that Numaish society is prejudiced towards Urdu, he claimed that the word ‘Numaish’ is written in Urdu script at the main entrance of the exhibition. As far as the board on society office is concerned, only the board has been changed not its script, he said. He further claimed that there were 18 educational institutions under Exhibition Society and Urdu is taught in all the institutions.
