NSUI holds protest against private colleges

About 50 activists of National Students Union of India (NSUI) were taken into custody when they tried to barge into the office of Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education at Nampally on Friday.

The NSUI activists, led by its president B Venkat Narsing, held protest alleged that some corporate colleges were violating the norms. Narsing said that some managements were running multiple colleges on single permission. Although they are collecting crores of rupees from students, they lack required infrastructure and were unable to maintain the standard of intermediate education. He demanded that the Board order a probe into the allegations.

The NSUI also demanded that the State Government fix a fee slab for the corporate colleges. (INN)
